31 Jul 2009
Addmaster are pleased to announce its Biomaster antimicrobial additive now has EPA approval for use in paints and coatings.

This EPA approval covers non food contact applications such as paints, inks and lacquers.

Antimicrobial coatings incorporating Biomaster TD100 have been widely used in the EU for many years and the additives high silver concentration and controlled release mechanism makes it extremely durable and is an ideal application for hospitals and other environments where bacteria can easily be spread. This controlled structure allows stable aqueous suspensions to be produced which deliver the product in the most user friendly way for the paint industry.

Paul Morris, Managing Director of Addmaster (UK) Ltd comments: “It is fantastic news to finally receive EPA approval for our Biomaster TD100 additive, we have enjoyed continued success in the EU with antimicrobial coatings and we hope to carry this to even great heights in the larger US markets”.
